II Corinthians 9:7 advises, "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." What an opportunity to demonstrate our love, and what a blessing to see the demonstration of his love. Are we obeying by loving others and do we covet God's blessing by obedience? It makes me wonder how many times I've missed God's blessing because of my natural penchant for selfishness.
