When the Lord returns, there will be a separation between
those who serve him and those who don’t.
Jesus described that separation in Matthew 25:31-33. “When
the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then
shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all
nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth
his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the
goats on the left.”
Revelation 14:14-20 describes this separation as two
separate gatherings. “And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and
upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden
crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the
temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy
sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the
earth is ripe. And he that sat on the
cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
And another angel came
out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar,
which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp
sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine
of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the
earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress
of the wrath of God. And the winepress
was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto
the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.”
The Lord himself come for his people, as I Thessalonians
4:16-17 describes. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall
rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
the Lord.” Revelation 19:6-9
describes the events immediately following the Rapture of God’s people. “And I
heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord
God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad
and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and
his wife hath made herself ready. And to
her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for
the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they
which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me,
These are the true sayings of God.”
Once he has gathered his own people, the rest of the people
will be gathered into one place to face destruction at the battle of Armageddon
as described in Revelation 9:11-21. “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white
horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in
righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his
head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he
himself. And he was clothed with a
vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed
him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that
with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:
and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a
name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And I saw an angel
standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls
that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the
supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of
captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them
that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and
great.
And I saw the beast,
and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war
against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the
false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them
that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image.
These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of
him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all
the fowls were filled with their flesh.”
Thank you for the great reminder that the trials of today are merely temporal and fleeting, and that once the Rapture occurs, time, sorrow, aging, sickness and death will be no more for His children -- only Love, joy, and peace. God bless.

ReplyDeleteThis corona virus shut down has reminded me again how many people do not realize God has everything under control and is taking care of his children. no matter how bad things may get we still are assured of his keeping his promises.
