God’s Love Demonstrated Again

The false prophet has horns like a lamb, but the voice of a dragon.  Like numerous other false prophets throughout history, his appearance is intended to give the illusion that he is the Lamb of God, but he is inspired by Satan.  When John looked around he saw the real lamb, Christ, surrounded by God’s chosen people, according to Revelation 14:1.  “And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.”

The real Messiah will be honored by people that love God.  One of the tests John gave for identifying whether a teacher was from God or not was to look at who hears them, in I John 4:5-6.  “They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”  The entire hundred forty four thousand have served their time on earth and understand what Christ has done for them.  They sing a song of praise that people who have never suffered for the Lord cannot sing.  Revelation 14:2-5 describes the kind of men they are.  “And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.  These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.  And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.”

Even at this point, when the Antichrist has seized control of the world government, killing the hundred forty four thousand, and trying to kill all who believe in God, the Lord will still give people one more opportunity to accept Christ as Revelation 14:6-7 tells us.  “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

Throughout the centuries, there have been various religious centers such as Rome, Mecca. Jerusalem, Alexandria, or Constantinople.  The Antichrist will establish a worldwide religion combining elements from several of those religions, making Babylon the religious center of the world.   God will cause the destruction of Babylon to get people’s attention, as described in Revelation 14:8.  “And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”  This will be discussed more in revelation 17.

This will be followed by a serious warnings about the danger of following the Antichrist, as stated in Revelation 14:9-11.  “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”  II Peter 3:9 tells us, “The Lord is …longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”  He will give mankind repeated opportunities to repent right up until the final judgement, because he loves mankind.  II Peter 3:10 warns, despite his love, God will judge the world.  “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

With all the repeated warnings people will have no excuse for ignoring God.  He loves mankind too much to allow Satan and his followers to keep killing people.
